Legal Compliance Analyst/Sr Analyst/ Associate - Minneapolis
Support the registered product SEC Filing Team by ~crlf~• generating and electronically filing prospectuses and other documents for new registered products and funds, and ~crlf~• inputting updates to existing product and fund prospectuses, ~crlf~as required by Federal law and the regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in accordance with all current rules and regulations.~crlf~~crlf~Support implementation of new registered insurance product and fund initiatives as directed by the business unit, and facilitate electronic filings of required registration statements and related documents with the SEC. Work with other departments, to include Actuarial, Finance, Compliance, Independent Auditors, and Distribution, to collect updated prospectus disclosure and to prepare updated documents for review. Develop a high level of understanding of the prospectus content management process, and the SEC document conversion and electronic submission software. Assist with preparation and delivery of the final versions of SEC related client-facing materials for print and web distribution.~crlf~Assist as directed with any other registered product- related projects as assigned to the SEC Filing Team.
- Product and fund initiatives - work with the prospectus team to create and update prospectuses and prepare for electronic filing, print, and web, based on business unit project specs.~crlf~- Annual prospectus updates - support completion of all annual required SEC filing updates by May 1 of each year to allow for continued sale of registered products.~crlf~- New regulatory rules - support implementation and compliance with any new regulatory rules affecting prospectus filings.~crlf~~crlf~
The ideal candidate should have a content management/systems orientation and will develop expertise using Donnelley ArcPro, Broadridge ProFile, and the SEC’s Edgar filing submission system. The ideal candidate should also have substantive experience in the regulatory environment. ~crlf~~crlf~Experience:~crlf~- 5+ years experience required: Securities/Registered Product/ Insurance/and Compliance related. A series 6 securities license and an insurance license would be a plus. ~crlf~~crlf~Technology Experience: ~crlf~- Substantial experience with multiple computer programs, including expertise in Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with electronic regulatory filings. Experience with the ArcPro computer program would be a plus. ~crlf~~crlf~- Highly detailed and schedule oriented. Organized. Good file maintenance abilities. Very good proofreading and review abilities. Ability to work with a number of diverse Company departments. Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and complete with minimal oversight. ~crlf~~crlf~Education:~crlf~- Two-year degree required; Or equivalent work experience~crlf~~crlf~
