    Allianz Life Information Security and Risk Management is seeking a motivated and energetic Security Engineer with experience in IT security or IT governance/compliance. ~crlf~The Security Engineer will bring technical and subject matter expertise and be proficient in application and enforcement of information security policy, standards and best practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, and incident handling). The Security Engineer will also have working knowledge of Information Security Governance Risk and Compliance, (e.g. International Standards Organization (ISO), COBIT or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)), as well as familiarity of SDLC and project management processes.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Responsibilities: ~crlf~• Ability to interpret and assess the adequacy of compliance control activity and evidence ~crlf~• Assess the adequacy of mitigation plans/ compensating controls addressing noncompliance issues~crlf~• Identify and evaluate control gaps and oversee remediation efforts, in partnership with controls owners.~crlf~• Help enhance GRC tool features, control automation and real-time controls monitoring.~crlf~• Assist with reporting on program performance via dashboards, KPIs, etc.~crlf~• Bring together technical and security experts to solve problems efficiently.~crlf~• Identify opportunities to enhance communications and processes supporting compliance programs to improve efficiency.~crlf~• Identify, monitor and research new compliance requirements.~crlf~• Demonstrated experience of “hands-on” security knowledge of one or more: Windows, Linux, UNIX, workstations, Network, Active Directory ~crlf~• Provide oversight of vendor’s performance in managing security solutions.~crlf~• Must be a team player and willing to establish strong positive working relationships with all areas, IT, vendor partners and business.~crlf~• Ability to work effectively, independent of assistance or supervision.~crlf~• Innovative, creative, and responsive with a strong sense of urgency.~crlf~• Ability to clearly communicate with executives, auditors, end users, and engineers using appropriate language, examples, and tone: Able to present counter opinions or difficult topics in a tactful way

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Experience:~crlf~• 3-5 years’ experience required: 3-5 years in an information technology role, basic understanding of networking and information security risk management, Proficiency with email, messaging and MS Office tools.~crlf~• Working knowledge of Information Security Governance Risk and Compliance, (e.g. International Standards Organization (ISO), COBIT or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST))~crlf~~crlf~• 3-5 years’ experience preferred: With 1+ products in the organization’s security portfolio~crlf~~crlf~Education: ~crlf~• Two year degree in information security, computer science, information systems, business administration or related field; or specialized training and equivalent work experience. CISSP certification a plus.
