Corporate Compliance Principal - Advertising - Minneapolis
Fully knowledgeable in specific aspects of compliance and is viewed as a senior resource within the company for that particular compliance function. Ensures compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and related company policies for areas assigned. Responsible for overall program management of assigned areas, including research, change recommendations, monitoring, risk assessment, oversight and stakeholder management.~crlf~~crlf~Responsible for successfully leading multiple projects, simultaneously with minimal direction. Must have deep subject matter expertise in the assigned area and ability to provide technical direction to others. Fully cognizant of the broader compliance environment, both inside and outside of the department and company. May be tasked with special assignments/projects that are outside the scope of his/her day-to-day responsibilities.
- Design and implement a strategy and standards associated with first line and second line roles and responsibilities to help ensure adherence to regulatory advertising standards for annuities, insurance and investment products~crlf~- Provide informal work direction to Ad Review Team~crlf~- Support ad review team and business partners with technical expertise~crlf~- Conduct review of complex or high risk advertising ~crlf~- Assess compliance-related risks pertaining to advertising; create/strengthen related controls across multiple business lines~crlf~- Create/update and implement insurance company and firm policies and procedures for advertising~crlf~- Provide training and education to Ad Review Team and business partners on existing and new insurance and securities advertising regulations and firm policies~crlf~- Analyze, design and assess advertising metrics/measures; communicates business impact to leadership and business partners~crlf~- Manage relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders, including regular interactions with senior business leaders~crlf~- Industry participation and engagement through involvement at industry round-table events; maintains industry contacts~crlf~- Represent Advertising Compliance on projects and new initiatives as assigned~crlf~~crlf~
Minimum Requirements:~crlf~– 6-7 years experience required: Compliance related experience focused on advertising review ~crlf~– Experience with securities and insurance advertising including application of federal and state advertising rules ~crlf~– Experience with review of digital financial tools~crlf~– Four-year degree or equivalent work experience~crlf~– FINRA Series 7 and 24 ~crlf~~crlf~
