ASaM (Administrative Strategy and Management) Internship - Summer 2020
We are looking for bright, energetic, and motivated individuals who are interested in an internship experience with the Administrative Strategy and Management (ASaM) business unit at Allianz Life. ASaM is a shared services organization that enables parts of the Chief Administration Officer’s (CAO) areas with emphasis on IT and Enterprise Operations. ~crlf~~crlf~Areas within ASaM work on CAO Financial activities, Sourcing/Vendor Management, Prioritizing what projects the company pursues, Asset Management, Process Improvement/Engineering, Business Continuity, Strategy, and Service Quality Management. While this internship is focused on supporting ASaM priorities, you will also learn more about the entire ASaM organization and Allianz Life as a whole.~crlf~~crlf~We desire individuals who are working toward a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Strategy, Marketing and/or other related Business or IT degrees. The right candidate will possess an excellent customer service orientation and have strong relationship building skills. This candidate will also have exceptional organizational and analytical skills, driving effective/efficient communications to both internal and external customers.
As an ASaM Intern you will have the opportunity to work on some of the following functions: ~crlf~~crlf~- Gain a meaningful experience while learning real-world skillsets and working on various tasks and projects within the ASaM group. We work closely with both the IT and Enterprise Operations divisions within the CAO division~crlf~- Partner on efforts to better understand how projects are managed through the Central Project Office~crlf~- Work on various initatives to gain experience with Sourcing and Vendor Management, Financial Management and/or Hardware/Software Asset Management~crlf~- Partner with your manager and team to gain a deeper understanding of the ASaM divisions~crlf~- Assist in Service Management issues impacting Enterprise Operations~crlf~- Maintain open communication and working relationship with ASaM staff and leadership~crlf~- Perform assigned projects and deliver an overall recap presentation to ASaM leadership ~crlf~- Network with industry professionals and obtain valuable experience working for an industry leader~crlf~~crlf~
- Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Strategy, Marketing and/or other related Business or IT degrees~crlf~- Experience with problem solving, analysis, cost modeling and financial management ~crlf~- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication, including clear structure and easily identifiable main points ~crlf~- Ability to apply critical thinking, project and/or process management~crlf~- Understanding of Service Management (ITIL), Six Sigma or Continous Improvement concepts~crlf~- Analytical mindset focused on process and data analysis~crlf~- Ability to influence others and lead without authority~crlf~- Possess a strong attention to detail~crlf~- Strong customer focus and relationship building~crlf~- Strong customer focus and work ethic~crlf~~crlf~
