Reporting to the CEO for Allianz Investment Management in the United States, you will manage the enablement of all Investment Strategy and Portfolio Management activities in the General Account. You will lead the primary responsibilities General Account Back-Office and Middle-Office - to support for various asset classes and core processes in each of these areas. You will develop relationships with important partners, including: Accounting, Hedging, Investment Strategy, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Corporate Risk Management, Finance and IT.~crlf~An essential priority for this role is to help the push towards Operational, focusing on various dimensions such as: Governance, Control Environments, Roles & Responsibilities, Processes, and Customer/Provider Management. You will include a focus on bettering all three dimensions - People, Process and Technology.~crlf~You will have strong strategy component, as the back office ties into the middle office and various downstream departments within Allianz (i.e. Hedging, Investment Strategy, Investment Accounting, CRM). Therefore you will be included in the strategic design on the future operating model.

Back-office~crlf~• Lead the tasks responsible for the daily back-office, including investment system maintenance, reconciliations and settlements~crlf~• Manage operational controls, including reporting, and security valuation~crlf~• Includes regular core processes, such as Settlement, Wiring, Trade Confirmation, Collateral Management~crlf~• Will regularly include Data Quality Management and remediation of existing operational deficiencies~crlf~• Cover different assets, consisting of liquid and various illiquid assets (i.e. private placements, CMLs, RMLs and various other Alternatives)~crlf~• Review and retain ownership over a large sum of essential control processes~crlf~~crlf~Project Management~crlf~• Oversee the pre-and post-trade compliance & risk management~crlf~• Ensure operational coordination and integration with clients, global partners and vendors~crlf~• Manage remediation of current shortcomings and essential actor in the Operational Risk Management Program~crlf~• Manage, designs, and optimizes operations processes~crlf~• Be a sponsor for various plans, including operational excellence and is the business owner for their progress~crlf~~crlf~Relationship Management~crlf~• Manage counterparty and vendor relationships~crlf~• Manage client interaction and issue resolution~crlf~• Support accounting/operations across the value chain~crlf~• Cooperate with important partners (Hedging department, Investment Strategy department, Investment Accounting and the Fund board)~crlf~• Interact with the counterparts in other HUBs within AIM~crlf~• Is the relationship manager for various providers / essential vendors~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; degree in Finance, accounting, business, technology or investment-related degree~crlf~• 11+ years experience~crlf~• MBA, CFA, CPA or equivalent~crlf~• Experience in Investment Accounting applications (PAM for Investments, LM)~crlf~~crlf~
