Trainee Risk Actuary

We are responsible for maintenance of the company’s comprehensive risk management and control system assuming both perspectives the independent risk oversight and the business strategy.~crlf~~crlf~As a Trainee Risk Actuary you will work within the quantitative area of the Risk Management Function. The key responsibilities of this area are capital management, monitoring and reporting, and the ongoing development and validation of the Allianz plc Internal Model. You will work closely with the Risk Actuaries in the team and with colleagues from the Finance and Actuarial functions. ~crlf~~crlf~This role reports to the Quantitative Risk Manager, and is an integral part of an experienced Risk Management team, comprised of both actuarial and risk professionals. The position is based in Allianz House, Elmpark, Merrion Road, Dublin 4.
• Calibrate and validate the Allianz Internal Model across all risk types~crlf~• Support model governance activities such as local suitability assessments~crlf~• Perform data quality assurance and control activities across all risk types ~crlf~• Support production of quarterly Internal Model risk capital numbers and associated reporting to management and the Allianz plc Risk Committee~crlf~• Coordinate and further develop the holistic limit framework to effectively mitigate risks in close collaboration with the business and support adherence to the company’s risk appetite~crlf~• Perform scenario analyses of key risks and stress testing across a broad range of topics~crlf~• Support the ORSA process and ORSA report ~crlf~• Promote Solvency II within the organisation and provide trainings for other functions~crlf~~crlf~
Essential~crlf~• Recent Graduate of a relevant Actuarial, Mathematics, Physics or Risk Management discipline or Part Qualified Actuary (general insurance)~crlf~• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a structured manner as a focused team player~crlf~• Demonstrated experience in communicating with (non-)technical people~crlf~• Advanced proficiency in data analytics and MS Office~crlf~~crlf~Desirable~crlf~• A minimum of a 2.1 result in a relevant third level degree~crlf~• Competent in using tools like ResQ, Igloo, Python or VBA~crlf~• 1+ years relevant work experience~crlf~• Demonstrated knowledge of Solvency II and experience in quantitative risk management / risk controlling / risk reporting / capital modelling~crlf~~crlf~
