You will work alongside qualified and trainee actuaries in a newly expanded function with responsibility for reserving/regulatory reporting, profitability monitoring and capital modelling (using the company’s Solvency II Internal Model). ~crlf~~crlf~As a Trainee Actuary in this multi-disciplinary team you will gain exposure to all elements within the actuarial function and work closely with colleagues in finance, claims, pricing and underwriting both at home and abroad. ~crlf~~crlf~Allianz Ireland is a non-life general insurance company and is part of the Allianz Group. • Run established processes to prepare and reconcile data~crlf~• Build, develop and upgrade data processes and management information reporting processes within the function~crlf~• Build and refresh technical models in line with both Allianz Global P&C best practice and regulatory requirements~crlf~• Maintain procedure documentation in line with changes in modelling approaches and emerging best practice ~crlf~• Make best use of available and emerging datasets to develop innovative technical approaches and identify emerging issues in the market~crlf~• Collaborate with relevant business stakeholders, sharing knowledge and developing new models and solutions to business problems~crlf~• Support organisational wide strategic projects with technical knowledge~crlf~• Create and sustain strong working relationships with all internal and Allianz SE Group stakeholders~crlf~• Participate in international group projects, as required~crlf~
Essential~crlf~• Minimum 2.1 third level or relevant post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics or Statistics ~crlf~• Desire to undertake Actuarial professional examinations~crlf~~crlf~Desirable ~crlf~• A first class honours degree in a relevant discipline ~crlf~• Previous experience using relevant data manipulation software, e.g. SAS, R, SQL~crlf~• Previous experience working within a corporate or financial services environment~crlf~
