Compliance Monitoring Officer

  • Job Purpose/ Role

    The Compliance Monitoring Officer is responsible for delivering compliance monitoring and operational oversight for the Allianz business, specifically in relation to CBI, FCA, DPC and ICO requirements in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.~crlf~~crlf~Reporting directly to the Compliance Advice and Counsel Manager, they ensure that regulatory requirements are embedded in business operations and conduct monitoring, testing and recommendations within the control environment.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Design and implement an efficient Compliance Risk Monitoring Program and related Compliance Monitoring Policy and Procedures~crlf~• Conduct end to end process compliance risk reviews, gap analysis, monitoring and testing across the business to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and Group standards, including CPC, DMD, IDD, MCC, RPIR, ICOBS, TCF, DISP, GDPR, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Corruption and Code of Conduct on a regular scheduled basis ~crlf~• Review policies and procedures, conduct targeted interviews with business owners to gain understanding of the operating environment, conduct risk assessments and document and report on findings ~crlf~• Provide recommendations with regard to efficiency and best practice, follow up on control issues identified, identify action steps required and review action points once adequate solutions are put in place~crlf~• Provide compliance guidance and direction for all business requirements, covering all applicable regulatory requirements including the CBI’s CPC, MCC, F&P, IDD, Distance marketing & renewal regulations, the FCA’s ICOBS, DISP & TCF, Sanctions oversight, and also GDPR, the Group Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Standards and Anti-Fraud framework~crlf~• Complete monitoring reporting and provide management information on key risks and controls for identified regulatory and governance requirements ~crlf~• Working closely with Advice & Counsel Managers, Compliance Business Partners and business colleagues to deliver practical and appropriate compliance solutions~crlf~• Maintaining an up to date and in-depth knowledge of the current and emerging regulatory requirements as applicable to Allianz Ireland~crlf~• Assist with the monitoring of outsourced service providers

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Essential Experience:~crlf~• Applicants should hold the Professional Certificate OR Diploma in Compliance (ACOI)~crlf~• At least 2 years experience in a Compliance role with demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory environment and an ability to work with the business areas to deliver practical and appropriate compliance solutions ~crlf~~crlf~Desirable Experience:~crlf~• Financial services experience~crlf~• Applicants should have experience in a CF2 role in line with SI 437 of 2011 (Central Bank Reform Act 2010, Regulations 2011)~crlf~• Risk/ Audit qualification~crlf~• Prior experience within a general insurance firm~crlf~• Knowledge and experience in advising in both ROI (CBI) and UK (FCA) jurisdictions~crlf~• Previous experience in a Compliance Monitoring / Internal Audit/ Risk Management role
