  • Job Purpose/ Role

    The purpose of the role is to conduct capital modelling, planning and profitability reporting, and will also work closely with colleagues in Pricing, Reserving and across various business units within our General Insurance Business.~crlf~~crlf~This role will work within our Actuarial Team, and report to the Head of Actuarial Function. The position is based in Allianz House, Elmpark, Merrion Road, Dublin 4.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain suite of profit testing tools~crlf~• Performance reporting both internally and externally~crlf~• Maintenance and enhancement of capital allocation models~crlf~• Preparation of periodic profitability reports with recommendations to senior management, at both local and Allianz Group level~crlf~• Optimisation of reinsurance programme structure~crlf~• Contribution to the annual planning process~crlf~• Participation in international group projects~crlf~• Promotion of Technical Excellence within the organisation

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Essential~crlf~• High level of technical ability, to include extensive modelling experience~crlf~• Competent in using ResQ, Igloo, SAS, SPSS, VBA or other relevant software~crlf~• Experience of General Insurance financial planning, reserving or pricing ~crlf~• Demonstrated experience in communicating and delivering technical solutions to business stakeholders~crlf~• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel~crlf~~crlf~Desirable~crlf~• Qualified Actuary/Part Qualified Actuary~crlf~• 3 years relevant work experience ~crlf~• Knowledge of the General Insurance market and products~crlf~• Time management skills, the ability to plan and prioritise workload to maximise efficiency
