  • Key Responsibilities

    During the first months you will participate in onboarding activities and get to know your home base department by working on digital projects as well as regular processes and tasks. Your home base will be the Asset Manager Management team (AMM): At Allianz, we differentiate between Investment Management and Asset Management. AMM takes up the asset allocations and translates those into mandates for Asset Managers. AMM oversees selecting, reviewing and managing performance of our external and internal Asset Managers on a global basis. You will be part of the team and contribute to ongoing tasks as well as projects in which your quantitative and programming background can make a difference to the team and the company.~crlf~ ~crlf~During the course of the program, you will be assigned to two or three further departments within AIM and work on challenging digital projects out of the following areas:~crlf~##Asset Liability Management (e.g. apply state of the art machine learning algorithms to support the derivation of strategic asset allocation)~crlf~##Investment Strategy (e.g. apply statistics, machine learning algorithms and IT knowledge to further improve methodologies to derive investment strategy)~crlf~##Financial Control, Risk and Monitoring (e.g. drive automation and further development for risk data analysis)~crlf~##Portfolio Management (e.g. develop automation tools and apply advanced data science methods)~crlf~##2 month assignment abroad to Milan, Minneapolis, Paris or Singapore~crlf~ ~crlf~At the end of the program, you will become a permanent employee of your home base department.

    ##Do you belong to the top 20 % of your university program focusing on quantitative analytics, statistics, business administration or economics with digital focus (or similar) and combine business acumen with IT knowhow?~crlf~##Do you possess a profound knowledge of statistics, data analysis and data visualization?~crlf~##Are you skilled in Excel as well as VBA and have a robust knowledge of programming languages (such as R and Python) and basic SQL?~crlf~##Are you keen on working in the investment area/on financial topics and have gained first working experiences (e.g. internship with financial service provider)?~crlf~##Are you fluent in written and spoken English?~crlf~##Are you a team player and enjoy working in a global team?~crlf~##Do you possess strong interpersonal and communication skills?
