Senior Financial Analyst (m/f/d) - Global Practice Leader Energy & Construction

Based in Munich, reporting to the Head of P&PM Corporate Lines & ART, you will act as financial advisor to the Global Line of Business Head for Energy & Construction and coordinate the global reinsurance reporting. You will perform planning, reporting and analyses to support your stakeholders’ understanding of monthly results and aid their decision-making process and portfolio steering. You will play a pivotal role in building bridges between Finance and Underwriting departments as well as sharing best practice within Planning & Performance Management (P&PM) and the wider finance community.

In this role you will…~crlf~ ~crlf~##Provide financial analyses and assessments for the global Energy & Construction business, identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations~crlf~##Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision-making~crlf~##Communicate Energy & Construction information to all stakeholders globally, developing solutions and action plans in case of any deviations to agreed plans~crlf~##Deliver regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes for Energy & Construction, in line with both customer and global requirements~crlf~##Coordinate the monthly reporting on global reinsurance across all lines of business and support the annual global reinsurance planning~crlf~##Manage customer requests and perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned, eg. budget moves~crlf~##Drive best-practice sharing and increase efficiencies, setting and harmonizing global standards~crlf~##Align and coordinate your area of responsibility with your CFO colleagues ~crlf~##Find opportunities to improve and streamline processes ~crlf~##Participate in projects and implement initiatives as required~crlf~

##Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Masters), preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or qualified by experience in related discipline~crlf~##CIMA qualified~crlf~##5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, ideally in insurance, reinsurance, audit or investment banking ~crlf~##Proven expertise in planning and performance management, in particular analysis of financial statements and performance metrics specific to insurance, reinsurance or capital solutions~crlf~##Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of reporting tools would be much appreciated (eg. SAP and SAS APP)~crlf~##Able to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in English, to a variety of stakeholders including senior management~crlf~##At ease working in a global team, maintaining effective remote relationships ~crlf~##Analytical and problem-solving ability, able to provide insight in complex situations~crlf~##Ability to manage projects (milestone and task planning, managing resources, controlling, monitoring, reporting, moderating) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements~crlf~
