The Senior Legal Counsel will proactively provide legal advice and support to assigned internal customers and actively manage corporate litigation. In addition, the SR Counsel will:~crlf~##Act as a trusted advisor for assigned internal business heads regarding legal issues relating to implementation of regional strategy, processes and products. Assignments may be in (a) general Corporate Litigation (b) Management of bad faith claims filed against the company (c) review and advise on vendor contracts and (d) litigation management, which includes oversight of outside law firms. ~crlf~##Ongoing regional expansions/restructuring issues and project work with limited resources~crlf~##Increasing requirements from the Group in terms of reporting and processes.

##LEGAL ADVICE - Proactively provide legal advice and support in relation to all legal matters. Provide advice on legal issues to all levels of management and staff of the Corporation and affiliates. Identify potential legal issues related to business practices and policies and advise client/management~crlf~##WORDING AND CONTRACTS - Proactively review and/or create (re)insurance wordings and other types of commercial contracts across all functions, lines of business and jurisdictions for compliance with legal requirements and to reduce risk. Counsel senior management on legal handling of business transactions such as leases, contracts, sales etc. Participate in structuring and negotiating complex transactions and set up procedures to reduce risk.~crlf~##LITIGATION-Proactively lead and steer major lawsuits. Work within web-based bill review system to process invoices and manage cases. Collaboration with claims personnel and other business partners to resolve claims and disputes, in a cost effective and strategic manner. ~crlf~##CORPORATE GOVERNANCE/COMPLIANCE-Proactively provide advice and support to assigned business unites to implement corporate governance requirements/compliance programs and tasks. Develop and review corporate governance and compliance procedures~crlf~~crlf~

##Law degree~crlf~##Minimum 7 to 10 years handling complex litigated claims or equivalent experience in a law firm litigation practice or in a corporate legal department. ~crlf~##Minimum 7+ years: Demonstrated expert experience with insurance related or claims litigation across multiple jurisdictions~crlf~##Minimum 7+ years: Proven track record of negotiation of complex litigated matters.~crlf~##Expert knowledge of a breadth of substantive legal disciplines, including insurance, corporate and contract law, accounting standards, and litigation processes. Ability to manage a case load~crlf~##Advanced legal knowledge across multiple countries and jurisdictions in which AGCS operates~crlf~##Understanding of regulatory an compliance environment including relevant policies, laws and regulations - across multiple jurisdictions~crlf~##Drafting and negotiating of contracts and strategic management of contractual disputes. ~crlf~##Expert: Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire~crlf~##Expert: Negotiation and Conflict Management: Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties~crlf~
