Senior Claims Analyst - ART - Hamilton, Bermuda
##Handle all standard claims types, in both lead and following capacity;~crlf~##Ensure claims handled within authority limits and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines;~crlf~##Utilize third party service providers when required to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers;~crlf~##Technical referral point for other Claims Handlers; and~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
##Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate Capital Solutions administration systems. ~crlf~##Proactively review late/non-payment of premium and support credit control process with Underwriting/Accounts in regards to offsets on amounts billed.~crlf~##Manage timely production of management information reports (e.g., monthly major claims movements, monthly and quarterly client reporting) and proactively identify loss trends.~crlf~##Investigate standard claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures.~crlf~##Determine appropriate reserving levels.~crlf~##Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g., Loss Adjusters) where appropriate.~crlf~##Proactively discuss and review contentious, large and complex claims with fellow adjusters and management to obtain opinions/feedback.~crlf~##Settle standard claims through payment or denial.~crlf~##Negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement.~crlf~##Ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.~crlf~##Support subrogation processes.~crlf~##Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines.~crlf~##Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate.~crlf~##Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters.~crlf~##Undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate.~crlf~##Support the Underwriting team with the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business. ~crlf~##Act as a technical reference point and provide training/coaching to less experienced team members.~crlf~##Positively represent AGCS externally to the market.~crlf~##Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Claims handling process (e.g., Underwriting, F&A and Operations). ~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g., third party adjusters).~crlf~##Effectively report and present loss and claims information internally and externally.~crlf~~crlf~
##Good understanding of Capital Solutions LoB products and portfolio including but not limited to ILS, with technical specialist knowledge;~crlf~##Management of systems (e.g., Nucleus);~crlf~##Good understanding of regional/local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape;~crlf~##Established relationship building with brokers at peer group level;~crlf~##Understanding of legal and regulatory framework;~crlf~##Experience in working in complex, global matrix organization;~crlf~##Understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages;~crlf~##Knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery;~crlf~##Knowledge of reserving principles and practices; ~crlf~##Robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application;~crlf~##Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, and litigation avoidance techniques (e.g., mediation);~crlf~##Clearly and effectively express ideas and messages in both verbal and written form;~crlf~##Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties;~crlf~##Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions;~crlf~##Degree in Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline preferred; and~crlf~##Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g., ACII, CPCU).~crlf~~crlf~
