Executive Underwriter- Entertainment

## Support Underwriting Strategy:~crlf~Participate in the development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for LoB(s) ~crlf~Work closely with Market Management, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross- selling ~crlf~## Relationship Management~crlf~Positively represent AGCS externally to the market~crlf~Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including e.g. MMC, ARC, Claims, Operations~crlf~Develop and maintain strong relationships with key producers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. risk managers)~crlf~## Underwrite Profitable business~crlf~Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets~crlf~Negotiate price and terms and conditions with producers~crlf~Proactively manage capacity ~crlf~Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, ensuring an understanding of catastrophe modeling and interpretation of scenarios (for relevant LoBs)~crlf~## Policy Documentation and Administration~crlf~Ensure accurate policy documentation issued to producers (where AGCS responsibility to do so) or producers has issued documentation (where producer responsibility)~crlf~File maintenance – ensure file is established (whether electronic or paper) and maintained for each risk and transaction handled~crlf~Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processes~crlf~## Market Management ~crlf~Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and producer negotiations where necessary)~crlf~Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives~crlf~## Support Key Business Initiatives/Misc.:~crlf~Participate / contribute to key projects ~crlf~Training and development of underwriters in Lob, e.g. Associate Underwriters and Underwriters ~crlf~ Referral point for other underwriters ~crlf~Participate in cross regional activities as required / requested ~crlf~~crlf~
## Preferably degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance Mgmt, or Business Administration~crlf~## Proven track record in Underwriting profitable business in LoB with 11 plus years' experience (7-10 years)~crlf~## In depth understanding of LoB(s) products and portfolio~crlf~## In depth understanding of regional / local LoB (s) insurance markets and competitor landscape~crlf~## Demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market~crlf~## Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to LoB~crlf~## Portfolio Management: Manage the underwriting books. Analyze trends and scenario plans from which portfolio strategies can be developed and implemented.~crlf~## Pricing: Analyze current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance~crlf~## Market Management: Apply the knowledge of how the market operates and functions, the business needs and customer needs~crlf~## Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.~crlf~## Communication & Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
