  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Based in Munich, you will lead a team of senior experts and team leaders in order to handle all complex or critical types of claims, in both lead and following capacity. In line with AGCS Claims Standards guidelines and authority limits you will strive to achieve economic results, e.g. by using third-party service providers. To provide high service quality you will also train your team and develop a technical referral point for other Claims Handlers as well as effectively contribute to a strong and cooperative relationship with brokers and clients.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Manage team of Claim Handlers~crlf~##Manage your team and technical referrals as appropriate and coach less experienced colleagues~crlf~##Manage cost center budget within in the plan~crlf~ ~crlf~Claims Processing and Settlement~crlf~##Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate AGCS Claims administration systems ~crlf~##Coordinate timely production of management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements) and proactively identify loss trends~crlf~##Settle complex claims, negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement and support subrogation processes~crlf~##Proactively review payment of premium and support credit control process and ensure un-pursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines~crlf~ ~crlf~Investigation and Reserving of Claims~crlf~##Investigate complex and critical claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures and determine appropriate reserving levels~crlf~##Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters)~crlf~##Proactively discuss large and complex claims to obtain opinions and feedback~crlf~ ~crlf~Referrals and Compliance ~crlf~##Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims guidelines~crlf~##Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters~crlf~##Undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate~crlf~ ~crlf~Market & Relationship Management~crlf~##Represents AGCS and Claims to clients and develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders~crlf~##Proactively liaise on market management initiatives
