    ## The Pricing & Portfolio Management Actuary is responsible for price modelling of new transactions and the monitoring the development and performance of in-force deals. Close collaboration with Underwriting on new business opportunities and providing relevant quantitative information to Portfolio Management to support effective decision making and business steering in the ART line of business.~crlf~The Pricing & Portfolio Management Actuary develops, maintains and documents stochastic deal and portfolio models in the ART line of business, is on top of in-force transaction performance and development and communicates with management to help steer the business, in particular with respect to proposed new transactions, renewals and amendments.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ## Develop, maintain and document stochastic deal and portfolio models in the ART line of business.~crlf~## Provide ART Underwriting with actuarial pricing, data analyses, risk modelling, structuring for new business opportunities.~crlf~## Be on top of in-force transaction performance and development: Maintain transaction dashboards/tracking sheets with key risk/performance indicators; analyze and explain model results and quarterly movements; support profitability analyses; provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders in ART and in other AGCS areas.~crlf~## Support management with focused quantitative information to help steer the business, in particular with respect to proposed new transactions, renewals and amendments.~crlf~## Contribute to the development of the ART Underwriting and Portfolio Management processes to ensure that the ever evolving business needs in the ART line of business are addressed, and participate in ad hoc projects lead in the global ART Underwriting & Portfolio Management team.~crlf~## Promote close collaboration and interaction with the various functions in AGCS (Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Claims, Operations, Finance & Accounting etc.) to foster mutual understanding of the risk drivers in the ART portfolio and in individual transactions.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##Bachelor’s Degree. Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other appropriate discipline or qualified by experience in related discipline.~crlf~## Quantitative financial and actuarial risk modeling know-how and skills.~crlf~## Computer skills (MS Office), in particular Excel/@risk, and expert systems such as ReMetrica, RMS, SQL, or Matlab etc.)~crlf~##General (re)insurance (ideally P&C) and finance know-how as well as understanding of (re)insurance products.~crlf~## Minimum 3-5 years of: hands-on experience in actuarial data analysis, pricing, risk modelling and/or reserving. Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry (ideally non-life), with and understanding of commercial lines insurance or reinsurance products; experience in structuring of transactions is an asset~crlf~## Cross-functional team work in an international and dynamic corporate environment.~crlf~## Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations.~crlf~## Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)~crlf~## Problem Solving: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation.
