  • Job Purpose/ Role

    The holder of this position will become an important member of the global Corporate Finance & Treasury (CF&T) team of AGCS, which consists of team members in Munich, Chicago and Zurich and a network of local contacts in several other countries. You will be located in our Munich office and report to the Head of Global Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Investment Risk Analysis. The Munich team is an integral part of the global CF&T team, which is responsible for all asset-liability-management and investment related processes as well as treasury and capital management processes globally, including managing capital and dividend requirements of all AGCS entities.~crlf~The focus of the position is on monitoring the investment result and risk of AGCS and contributing to the investment related governance process including Solvency 2 market and credit risk capital.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Analyze, monitor, report on and plan investment result and risk development in close cooperation with our Investment Managers and Risk Management~crlf~##Actively contribute to market and credit risk capital closing processes and model governance activities in close cooperation with Risk Management and Accounting~crlf~##Support / Contribute to investment closing and planning processes covering P&L, balance sheet and risk items~crlf~##Support definition and implementation of corporate rules and process descriptions aiming for transparency and solid governance frameworks for own area of responsibility~crlf~##Keep abreast of market developments, regulations and Allianz Group corporate rules affecting own area of responsibility.~crlf~##Support local and global ALM & Investment Risk Analysis, CF&T or Finance related projects in close cooperation with other CF&T / CFO experts and our Investment Managers

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Relevant experience~crlf~##1-3 years of experience (including internships) in re-/insurance or investment management, with first experience in first experience in ALM and investment risk analysis / capital management / treasury and/or quantitative financial risk modeling and Solvency 2 (governance and quantitative/qualitative parts)~crlf~##Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~##Effectively contributed to development and implementation of solutions to complex stakeholder requirements~crlf~ ~crlf~Education / Certification~crlf~##Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other relevant analytical discipline or qualified by experience in related discipline~crlf~##First progress to recognized professional qualification (e.g. CFA, Actuarial degree, or Risk Management) of advantage~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical Skills~crlf~##Sound financial literacy with focus on balance sheet, P&L, ALM and investment risk management~crlf~##Quantitative financial and risk modeling~crlf~##Strong analytical, numerical and adaptive problem solving skills, using a structured and methodological approach~crlf~##Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills to effectively analyze data.
