  • Job Purpose/ Role

    We are looking for a Global Senior Financial Analyst (m/f/d) to join CFO – Planning &Performance Management (P&PM) at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Munich or London. ~crlf~ ~crlf~In this role, you will act as a financial consultant to the Line of Businesses (LoB) Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) and Capital Solutions by performing planning, reporting and analysis tasks to support various stakeholders on their decision making process and portfolio steering. You will play a pivotal role in building bridges between Finance and Underwriting departments as well as sharing best practice within P&PM and the wider Finance community. ~crlf~You will report to Head of P&PM Corporate Lines.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Financial Analysis:~crlf~##Provide required analysis (regular and ad-hoc) for own area of responsibility (ART LoB and Capital Solutions), identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations~crlf~##Assess ART LoB’s and Capital Solutions’ financial performance within the global AGCS steering framework~crlf~##Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision making~crlf~ ~crlf~Planning and Reporting:~crlf~##Manage regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes in own area of responsibility (ART LoB and Capital Solutions) and in line with both customer and global requirements~crlf~##Communicate ART LoB and Capital Solutions information to all stakeholders globally: reach proper conclusions, provide appropriate guidance and recommend/develop solutions and action plans in case of issues and deviations to agreed plans~crlf~##Further align and bridge ART's deal driven view on business and financial performance to the global AGCS steering framework, in order to ensure consistent messaging on business performance~crlf~##Find opportunities to improve and streamline the reporting and planning processes~crlf~ ~crlf~Day-to-day business~crlf~##Prepare standard reports on ART LoB and Capital Solutions and manage customer requests~crlf~##Perform ad-hoc / Global Lines tasks as assigned, e.g. budget moves~crlf~##Drive best practice sharing, global standard setting and harmonization~crlf~##Align and coordinate own area of responsibility with other relevant CFO colleagues~crlf~##Cross functional collaboration across the business to enhance overall business understanding~crlf~##Find opportunities to improve and streamline processes ~crlf~##Participate in projects and implement initiatives as required

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##University degree ideally Master, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or qualified by experience in related discipline~crlf~##5 years of professional experience in the financial services industry, ideally in insurance or reinsurance~crlf~##Finance and Insurance know-how (ideally P&C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group (consolidation processes, legal vs management view, reinsurance structures) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting~crlf~##Expertise in reinsurance structures and related accounting effects~crlf~##3 years of proven experience in planning and performance management, in particular analysis of financial statements and performance metrics specific to the insurance or reinsurance industry~crlf~##Analytical thinking and numeracy skills and experience in reporting and planning tools (e.g. SAP, SAS APP)~crlf~##Proven experience in project management~crlf~##Proven experience in communicating results to a variety of stakeholders including senior management~crlf~##Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint ~crlf~##Intercultural skills to work in an international environment~crlf~##Very good command of English (verbal and written) is mandatory
