Financial Analyst (m/f/d) in CFO - Planning & Performance Management – Global Governance

  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Global Planning & Performance Management sees its role as strategic and financial advisor to the business owners, enabling them to best steer their business profitably. Its major tasks comprise establishing a reliable reporting, driving the Planning Process and providing a value-adding analysis of Financials. Our Global Governance team acts as a business partner for all finance-related questions to internal stakeholders managing the business supporting functions (e.g. Operations, IT, Finance etc).~crlf~ ~crlf~Based in Munich, in your role as Financial Analyst you will provide global financial analysis and support for Operations and IT related topics. You will act as a financial consultant and advisor to the respective business owners and stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Financial Analysis, Planning & Reporting~crlf~##Provide required management reporting & analysis (regular and ad-hoc) and financial consultancy for designated area of responsibility~crlf~##Identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations~crlf~##Initiate appropriate actions to remediate identified issues and follow through on their remediation. Proactively anticipate and resolve issues before they transpire~crlf~##Co-ordinate relevant input from various sources as well as amongst peers and matrix functions to come to provide a consolidated global view of the designated area~crlf~##Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision making~crlf~ ~crlf~Drive best practice sharing, global standard setting and harmonization~crlf~##Find opportunities and drive initiatives to improve and streamline reporting / financial analysis processes~crlf~##As a member of a global function, align and co-ordinate own area of responsibility within the operational matrix of AGCS (e.g. Regional Hub-teams, other global/regional functions)~crlf~##Develop and drive cross-functional collaboration across the business to enhance overall business understanding~crlf~ ~crlf~Project work~crlf~##Participate in projects to actively contribute to the improvement of financial steering processes and implement initiatives as required. Provide analysis and financial assessment of relevant business cases and change requests.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##You have an university degree (ideally Master), in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field ~crlf~##Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in planning and performance management of financial statements and respective analysis~crlf~##Proven experience in communication of results to a variety of stakeholders including management~crlf~##Experience in reporting and planning tools (e.g. SAP, SAS APP) and knowledge of AGCS Business Specifics (e.g. business flows) of advantage~crlf~##Analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret complex data and processes~crlf~##Knowledge of expense topics and concepts with regards to insurance industry~crlf~##Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion~crlf~##Solid communication skills and the ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively~crlf~##Excellent command of English (verbal and written) is mandatory, solid command of German would be an advantage
