Expert Legal Counsel (m/f/d)
You need to provide legal support, guidance and advice to the AGCS management, global functions and local offices with regard to relevant legal, regulatory & compliance topics. You have to ensure that all practices, policies, and business activities of AGCS comply with the AGCS legal standards. You will provide guidance and advice around all topics related to Data Protection, digitization, growth initiatives, Intellectual Property, IT and service contracts. You will report directly to the Global Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Legal Support ~crlf~##You analyze legal queries, develop and evaluate excellent solutions for your clients in a structured manner that you present in a proper written and oral form.~crlf~ ~crlf~Identification & Analysis of Legal Issues (Contracts, General Legal Documents)~crlf~##You know how to proactively identify and analyze relevant legal issues, provide advice to clients by considering the AGCS business goals, draft and present key documents and recommendations in a clear and understandable form.~crlf~##You analyze, review and draft contracts and other legal documents with global scope including contract negotiation with internal and external clients in your area of responsibility.~crlf~ ~crlf~Data Protection~crlf~##You act as part of the AGCS DPO Network, where you take over sub-tasks in alignment with the AGCS Global DPO. You liaise with the AGCS Board of Management, relevant CxO areas, AGCS Compliance, other Allianz legal departments and the Allianz Privacy Community in order to manage your tasks. ~crlf~##You address proactively privacy aspects within AGCS, where you maintain and adjust the legal, regulatory and compliance framework and processes of AGCS in order to meet the legal, regulatory and internal requirements.~crlf~##You coordinate company positions with regards to all Data Protection-related regulation and ancillary legal issues and contract matters.
Required education and experience:~crlf~##You are a fully qualified lawyer (German 2. Staatsexamen/state exam) or an equivalent qualification from an EU Member State (e.g. solicitor, bar exam).~crlf~##You have experience in working internationally, ideally within a complex matrix organization.~crlf~##You have minimum 5 years professional experience in commercial/corporate/IT or IP law preferably in another in-house legal department, international law firm or transnational organization. Further special education or certification in one of the mentioned subjects (e.g. Fachanwalt) is an advantage. ~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical skills:~crlf~##You have a good understanding of general commercial or IT business practice and experience in project management. Your decision making and advise considers law & economics rationale.~crlf~##Ideally, you have full expert knowledge and practical experience with applicable Data Protection regulation, especially GDPR. You are able to implement Data Protection or digital regulation requirements within the AGCS business organization.~crlf~##You are able to negotiate and work professionally in German and English. Other language skills, e.g. French, Spanish or Italian, are an advantage.~crlf~ ~crlf~General skills:~crlf~##You demonstrate strong business acumen and client service mentality.~crlf~##You have excellent organizational skills including strong communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations and expectation management.~crlf~##You are used to carry out your tasks independently within your area of responsibility.
