  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Based in Munich and reporting directly to the Head of Data Solutions and Architecture within Organization and Business Transformation team, this role is pivotal in the delivery of data engineering approaches supporting the wider AGCS data consumers.~crlf~ ~crlf~In this role you will be responsible for the interpretation of data requirements from consumers and the provision of solutions to meet the demands, working closely with business functions, data scientists and other consumers in AGCS. This will include driving data harmonization where needed to support the enterprise wide business data model.

  • Key Responsibilities

    In this role you will…~crlf~##Advise on, design, and implement solutions that prepares data for additional analytical or operational uses, e.g. data provision to data scientists. You will also provide and coordinate estimates for the development of required components, ensure the design/build activities remain within project schedule/budget. By understanding of meta-data management, data modelling, you facilitate escalation and resolution of technical issues during the development of solutions.~crlf~##Build data pipelines to pull together information from different source systems; integrating, consolidating and cleansing data; and structuring it for use in individual analytics applications and other operational uses.~crlf~##Provide data in a ready-to-use form to data analysts who are looking to run queries and algorithms against the information to garner additional insight.~crlf~##Design, develop, and implement architectures and processes to populate and store data for use by data analysts and integrations with other operations. ~crlf~##Gather and capture needs and requirements from end users to facilitate development of solutions to satisfy data needs for data analysts and integrations.~crlf~##Work closely with data analysts to coordinate the use of end-user tools to facilitate and document the analysis and reporting process as well as the governance on those.~crlf~##Strengthen Data Culture by developing and running appropriate change management activities.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##You have a degree in IT, computer science or other relevant fields, or you are qualified by experience~crlf~##You have at least 3 to 5 years’ of experience in the insurance sector across multiples domains~crlf~##Very good understanding of information systems and data life-cycle management best practices and methodologies~crlf~##Analytical skills and ability to work with both structured and unstructured data sets. You also have the ability to understand and interpret technical designs of databases, data management technologies and tools for data modelling and analysis like ERwin, Collibra and Palantir~crlf~##High competency in SQL and Data modelling Standards for 3NF and Data Vault~crlf~##Excellent communication skills and able to build and maintain positive relationships. ~crlf~##High competencies in successfully collaborating at all levels in an organization, even in challenging situations and with a high level of resilience~crlf~##You embrace agile working and engage in constant learning, to adapt to internal and external customer needs~crlf~##Fluent in English.
