    The Senior Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for assessing credit risk exposure stemming from AGCS reinsurance counterparty. This includes managing security vetting, leading meetings with clients on credit risk topics, defining and prioritizing actions required to mitigate credit risk. This is carried out in close collaboration with the business, supporting the business in managing their credit risks.~crlf~ ~crlf~Future Challenges~crlf~##Improving underwriting conditions in relation to expending our range of carriers without compromising AGCS security requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Ensuring that captive counterparties are effectively modeled according to AGCS Internal Security Rating (ISR). This includes calculating the credit risk charge for captive cessions.~crlf~##Management, monitoring and reporting of AGCS credit risk exposure. This includes Special Approval Request for captives or institutional reinsures using current set of on-line tools.~crlf~##Maintain all documentation supporting the Security Vetting function and liase with other stakeholders, s.a. Group Risk, Euler Hermes and CFO-Corporate Finance and Treasury.~crlf~##Qualitative and quantitative risk management, incl. credit risk identification, assessment and control for counterparties. This includes ability to research credit worthiness information from public agency or data bases, s.a. S&P, AM Best.~crlf~##Oversee transversal projects to improve the overall operation of the facultative desk. This can take various forms such as data quality, issuance of report, analysis of portfolio.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Required Experience~crlf~##Professional experience in reinsurance, P&C insurance and / or asset management (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Hands-on experience in collateral and security instruments (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Experience in qualitative and quantitative credit risk management / controlling / risk reporting (Minimum 5 to 7 years)~crlf~##Direct experience of facultative reinsurance business (Minimum 3 to 5 years)~crlf~ ~crlf~Required Education~crlf~##Degree in Economics, Law, Engineering or appropriate discipline~crlf~##Completion of relevant professional insurance qualification~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical Skills~crlf~##Credit risk analysis skills preferably acquired within the insurance industry. Ability to evaluate the credit worthiness of an insurance/reinsurance company.~crlf~##Knowledge of complex structured insurance transaction, from both the insurance risk exposure and the credit risk exposure.~crlf~##Contractual skills in drafting security clauses and associated financial products (e.g. LoCs, deed of assignments, trust and charge accounts).~crlf~##Awareness on rating agency approach, rating modeling, capital modeling~crlf~ ~crlf~General Skills~crlf~##Problem Solving: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation. ~crlf~##Analytical Skills: ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.~crlf~##Influencing Others: The ability to positively influence others' actions, decisions, opinions or thinking resulting in positive outcomes.
