Business Analyst - Finance

As a Business Analyst, you are responsible for gathering and analyzing all users’ requirements for a new system, system enhancement, support all functional and UAT testing. The immediate focus is to support all areas of Finance.

•~crlf~Support finance work streams and finance stakeholders on all finance related topics~crlf~•~crlf~In-depth participation and contribution in finance related activities within the project ~crlf~•~crlf~Understand and analyze the financial General/Sub ledger functional data flow~crlf~•~crlf~Create a knowledge asset like process maps for the team to provide future BAU functional support on all Finance topics~crlf~•~crlf~Assist and train finance and accounting team members on how to use insurance and finance systems~crlf~•~crlf~Provide business analysis support to Finance Team on all operational aspects~crlf~•~crlf~Work with the finance regulatory reporting stakeholders~crlf~•~crlf~Support in requirement gathering and perform requirement analysis in all areas of finance in an insurance context~crlf~•~crlf~Drive the definition and design of the technical solution through functional requirements ~crlf~•~crlf~Review, maintain, and suggest modifications as appropriate, to the current finance processes~crlf~•~crlf~Work closely with IT/Vendors to identify requirements and solution gaps~crlf~•~crlf~Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing with Business Users~crlf~~crlf~

•~crlf~Degree in Accountancy / Business / IT or a relevant discipline. ~crlf~•~crlf~6 - 10 years of experience in insurance industry as a finance business analyst. As part of its experience, the candidate will have covered a large number of finance areas: account receivables and accounts payables, financial reporting and accounting. ~crlf~•~crlf~Good understanding of Finance operations is also required: payment and understand of how payment gateways work, reconciliations, claims accounting. ~crlf~•~crlf~Good understanding of AP, AR and General/Sub Ledger process.~crlf~•~crlf~Knowledge of IFRS standards and SAP will be an added advantage.~crlf~•~crlf~Knowledge and implementation experience in SDLC and Agile framework.~crlf~•~crlf~Experience system implementation in a delivery role is a must.~crlf~•~crlf~Strong understanding of accounting, actuarial and IT requirements from an insurance business perspective.~crlf~•~crlf~Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. ~crlf~•~crlf~Working knowledge of other insurance functional areas (outside of Finance, i.e. : servicing and claims for example) is highly desirable.~crlf~~crlf~
