The AT team is accountable for establishing a global state-of-the-art Global Data Platform (GDP), as well as for the end-to-end development of scalable analytics assets based on AI and machine learning. We are responsible for assessing new technologies on the market and we establish standards, best practices and architecture blue prints within the Group.~crlf~ ~crlf~The Global Data Platform (GDP) is an internal shared IT service which provides the functionalities and capabilities to support the transformation of Allianz into a data-driven company. The platform team is responsible to provide, operate and evolve these capabilities as services for our customers. Additionally we are managing the cloud infrastructure and the scalable, reliable and fault-tolerant technical services. Following our DevOps philosophy, we strive for continuous improvement of our tool stack by evaluating, contributing to, and integrating state-of-the-art technologies.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is as passionate about our vision as we are. Your tasks will include:~crlf~##Configuration and support of applications and services related to data engineering and data science deployed in both private and public clouds~crlf~##Support and interact with data scientists and data engineers within the Allianz Group ~crlf~##Accomplish improvement in performance, reliability, and automation levels.~crlf~##Resolve incidents and change requests~crlf~##Write technical documentation and apply best practices~crlf~##Deliver new services for the Global Data Platform (GDP)~crlf~

We encourage to contribute your individual strengths and personality to the team and give you the room to develop some new skills and experiences. ~crlf~ ~crlf~A successful candidate is expected to provide the following knowledge:~crlf~##Advanced knowledge in either Kubernetes or Hashicorp Nomad~crlf~##Advanced experience with Docker containers~crlf~##Kafka and Spark (administration and recovery in existing deployments; programming internals)~crlf~##Development of CI/CD pipelines for Gitlab / Jenkins~crlf~##Strong knowledge in developing shell scripts (Bash or other POSIX shell)~crlf~##Familiarity with Python language (deploy packages; build and distribute python environments), preferably in the context of data science~crlf~##General understanding of Networking and IT Security Principles~crlf~ ~crlf~Also, highly desirable knowledge that would highlight your profile:~crlf~##Elasticsearch (maintenance and operation of existing deployments, preferably within an orchestrator such as Kubernetes or Nomad)~crlf~##Knowledge of the internals in data science tools such as Jupyter notebooks, R-Studio and Zeppelin notebooks~crlf~##Tools such as Airflow, Luigi and MLFlow~crlf~##Solid knowledge in GIT version control system~crlf~##Advanced Linux knowledge~crlf~ ~crlf~Other Skills~crlf~##Bachelor (BSc), Master (MSc) or equivalent experience in a technical field (for example, Computer Science, Engineering)~crlf~##DevOps mindset (you build it, you own it)~crlf~##Team-player open to work in an agile and flexible environment~crlf~##Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must, German language is a plus~crlf~
