The AT team is accountable for establishing a global state-of-the-art Global Data Platform (GDP), as well as for the end-to-end development of scalable analytics assets based on AI and machine learning. We are responsible for assessing new technologies on the market and we establish standards, best practices and architecture blue prints within the Group.~crlf~ ~crlf~The Global Data Platform (GDP) is an internal shared IT service which provides the functionalities and capabilities to support the transformation of Allianz into a data-driven company. The platform team is responsible to provide, operate and evolve these capabilities as services for our customers. Additionally we are managing the cloud infrastructure and the scalable, reliable and fault-tolerant technical services. Following our DevOps philosophy, we strive for continuous improvement of our tool stack by evaluating, contributing to, and integrating state-of-the-art technologies.
We are looking for an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer who is as passionate about our vision as we are. This includes the following responsibilities:~crlf~##Design, implement and oversee the IT infrastructure hardware and software components in compliance with the architecture roadmap and based on feasibility checks~crlf~##Maintain and optimize the relevant system, ensure performance and availability and provide release- and patch management~crlf~##Develop new functionalities for the Global Data Platform (GDP)~crlf~##Evaluate new technologies in the field of cloud computing, distributed computing, data engineering and data science~crlf~##Look for opportunities to improve performance, reliability and automation~crlf~##Resolve incidents and change requests~crlf~##Support and interact with data scientists and data engineers within the Allianz Group ~crlf~##Write technical documentation, announcements, blog posts, and best practices~crlf~
##Proficiency in at least one programming language (we have components written in Python, Scala, Elm etc.)~crlf~##Software engineering (design patterns, version control, automated testing, concurrent programming etc.)~crlf~##Continuous integration, deployment, and delivery~crlf~##Databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Neo4J)~crlf~##Distributed systems (e.g. Spark)~crlf~##Event-based systems (e.g. Kafka)~crlf~##Workflow orchestration and automation (e.g. Luigi)~crlf~##Data Science Tooling (e.g. Jupyter, R-Studio, Zeppelin)~crlf~##Basic understanding how machine learning algorithms work~crlf~##Advanced Experience with Linux~crlf~##Containerization (Docker)~crlf~##General understanding of Networking, Infrastructure, Orchestration, Distributed Systems and IT Security Principles~crlf~##Bachelor (BSc), Master (MSc) or equivalent experience in a technical field (for example, Computer Science, Engineering)~crlf~##DevOps mindset (you build it, you run it; taking responsibility for your work)~crlf~##Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools~crlf~##Team player open to work in an agile environment~crlf~##Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must, other languages (e.g. German, French, Italian, etc.) are a plus~crlf~##Customer orientation & communication skills~crlf~##Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations~crlf~##Readiness to mentor new team members and junior colleagues ~crlf~
