Senior IT Architect (m/f/d) in GTA-TAI
Technology Architecture and Innovation implements the IT strategy of the Allianz Group by defining groupwide IT architecture and standards, supporting strategic IT projects and leveraging the global IT architects community. It sets the framework for the transformation towards a globally harmonized IT target landscape.~crlf~~crlf~Reporting to the Head of Technology, Architecture and Innovation you will develop group-wide IT architecture and standards and in particular focus on setting-up and driving the cloud transformation of Allianz Group in strong collaboration with other Group Technology & Architecture departments, all of the Operating Entities (OEs) of Allianz and Allianz Technology. ~crlf~~crlf~Technology, Architecture and Innovation collaborates closely with other H4 functions (especially within Group Technology & Architecture and Group Performance Transformation), works with the relevant decision bodies (etc. ITCo, GAB), representatives of Allianz OEs on all levels including COOs, CIOs and experts, and various functions inside Allianz Technology, ensuring stakeholder alignment in strategy creation and execution across Allianz Group
The role is support the Head of Technology, Architecture and Innovation to create and execute the Allianz Group IT Strategy and strategic initiatives across various functional and technical areas, including:~crlf~##Create IT architectures in close collaboration with key stakeholders in OEs, Allianz Technology and Allianz SE~crlf~##Derive transformation strategies and strategy execution plans for OEs, Allianz Technology, and Allianz Group as a whole, on high-level as well as on fine-grained level for applications, technologies and functional areas~crlf~##Drive and track transformation projects and strategy execution and report on progress to senior management, including Group projects and task forces supporting IT senior management, involving local teams and global expert networks~crlf~##Acts as ambassador for transformation, state-of-the-art architecture and the Group IT Strategy as well as for architecture principles and standards towards OEs and Allianz Technology~crlf~##Collaborate with international working groups across Allianz entities and IT functions~crlf~~crlf~In addition, the role focuses on driving the Cloud Transformation program, particularly:~crlf~##Drive the key artifacts of the Cloud Transformation Program in close alignment with other key IT stakeholdes in Allianz SE and Allianz Technology~crlf~##Drive the future-proof design and functional and technical evolution of the Future Cloud Platform as well as the Future Infrastructure Platform~crlf~##Ensure seamless integration of the Future Cloud Platform and Future Infrastructure Platform with each other, and with related IT infrastructure services (e.g. network services, IAM services, security services)~crlf~##Ensure implementation of the Future Cloud Platform and Future Infrastructure Platform by Allianz Technology, and closely collaborate with Allianz Technology to faciliate change, create transparency and establish governance structure during service creation and operations~crlf~##Plan, align and orchestrate the cloudification of the Allianz Group's strategic applications as well as OE specific IT application landscapes through setting up, driving and tracking tailored transformation initiatives in close collaboration with stakeholders in Allianz SE, Allianz Technology and OEs~crlf~##Regularly review business requirements, conduct competitor analyses and perform market research to ensure that key trends and developments in Cloud Computing are captured early and fed into service development~crlf~##Contribute to other elements of the Cloud Transformation Program, supporting the overarching program success and the corporate cloud transformation~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~
Qualification:~crlf~##Academic degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering or similar~crlf~##Strong professional background and experience in program and project management, IT Infrastructure program or line management (e.g. networks, cloud computing); additional leadership or management exposure in application engineering or operations in financial services~crlf~##International experience and experience in multinational environments~crlf~##Strong understanding of a broad set of information technologies, technology markets and trends, IT management processes, IT governance, and IT controlling~crlf~##Strong analytics (tackling unstructured problems, developing solution approaches and methods) and rapid learner~crlf~##IT Architect certification(s) as TOGAF, iSAQB, etc. is a plus~crlf~##Project management certification(s) as PRINCE2, PMI, etc. and/or Service Management certification(s) as ITIL/ ITSM are a plus~crlf~##Must be fluent in English (written and spoken), conversational German is a plus~crlf~##Advanced hands-on skills in using end-user productivity tools (Microsoft Office esp. Excel and Powerpoint)~crlf~ ~crlf~Experience and Key skills:~crlf~~crlf~##Experienced IT professional with 10+ years of experience, specifically in IT strategy and IT architecture in leading IT organization(s)~crlf~##Experience in large multi-national corporations is a plus ~crlf~##Proven background in IT strategy, IT architecture, IT business alignment, IT governance mechanisms IT controlling know-how, Project Management Methodologies, Technology markets and vendors~crlf~##Hands-on experience in building and deploying applications and systems~crlf~##Proven experience in running multiple projects handling various stakeholders ~crlf~##Capable to address issues from business as well as technical perspective ~crlf~##Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills~crlf~##Customer-focused, proactive, flexible and energetic team player with ability to work under pressure~crlf~##Good self-leadership capabilities: drive for opportunities, results orientation, willingness to take risks, tolerance to ad-hoc priority changes, comfortable with ambiguity~crlf~##Proven experience working with both on executive level as well as technical communities~crlf~##Very good understanding of Allianz Group, its overall IT strategy, the shared services setup with Allianz Technology, as well as the IT organizations in the operating entities around the world; exposure to global IT Transformation Initiatives desirable~crlf~~crlf~Soft Skills~crlf~##Very good understanding and empathy around intercultural communication and understanding~crlf~##Very good sales / negotiation skills ~crlf~##Strong team player with high assertiveness and ability to work under pressure~crlf~##Talent to communicate and engage on all levels~crlf~##Able to motivate people for optimization and change in their regular environment ~crlf~##Analytical and problem solving skills, being able to combine conceptual and implementation work~crlf~##Good facilitation and conflict management skills~crlf~
