We are looking for a person who is highly motivated, has a willingness to learn, and is self-managed for this position. We are looking for an individual with investment back office experience. This position is responsible for maintaining various Investment Operations systems, strong understanding of derivative and investment instruments, and working on key projects. This person will be required to research and analyze new investments, manage trade processing and settlements, and to understand the cash flow mechanics and accounting entries. The position will utilize programming knowledge to automate processes and improve controls to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Strong knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheet development and database structure is also used in this position. This position requires working knowledge of investments and insurance practices which is critical to the overall Allianz business and Allianz Investment Management (AIM). This professional position focuses on back-office responsibilities, and daily communication with internal and external parties such as traders, accountants, auditors, asset managers, counterparties, and custodian banks. Strong reconciliation, problem solving, and ad hoc analysis skills are also used in this position.

• Daily trade settlements, reconciliations, input and cash processing in the Investment Accounting Systems (PAM/LMS).~crlf~• Complete other updates to PAM such as pricing, factors, basis adjustments, FAS 91 review, corporate actions, maintenance of Security Master File (SMF) data, and rating reviews. ~crlf~• Manage audit requests and requirements for Internal Audit, External Auditors, SEC and State DOI examiners including operational audits, financial statement audits and SOX/MAR control audits.~crlf~• Design and improve software systems for investment operations processes. This includes gathering requirements, developing solutions in various platforms (Access, Excel, VBA, etc) and training users on the new functionality.~crlf~~crlf~Derivatives (desired):~crlf~• Ensure proper payoff and communications regarding daily derivative transactions and maturing derivatives. ~crlf~• Provide timely OTC derivative contract review and research discrepancies directly with the issuing counterparty.~crlf~• Daily collateral management processing and reporting.~crlf~~crlf~

Minimum:~crlf~- 4-5 years investment or related industry experience (Finance, investments or insurance-related)~crlf~- Four-year degree required: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or equivalent~crlf~- Intermediate/fluent Excel/Access/VBA user~crlf~~crlf~Preferred:~crlf~- Investment operations or investment accounting experience with PAM system knowledge.~crlf~- Experience recording/confirming/settling trades~crlf~- Programming experience in VBA, Excel, and Access ~crlf~- Experience in developing and testing software for production trading processes within a source controlled environment (C#/SQL for internal back office application)~crlf~- Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and various STAT reporting schedules.~crlf~- Experience researching issues on Bloomberg, and their Trade Order Management system (AIM)~crlf~- Derivative and other invested asset experience and knowledge~crlf~- Ability to research and provide fair value pricing for non-vendor priced / hard to price securities~crlf~~crlf~
