Sr. Transaction Accountant
## Responsible for handling the reporting & closing activities, project work in area of responsibility.
## Governance and quality assurance~crlf~Document application of policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility. ~crlf~Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements. ~crlf~Draft standards to improve quality as well as active contribution in improving and implementing global operation cycles, processes and workflows as well as the implementation of global policies and procedures.~crlf~## Project wok as assigned.~crlf~## Reporting and Closing~crlf~Ensure that all IFRS, GAAP and Statutory closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, NAIC reporting, other internal/external reporting requirements) related to own area of responsibility are accurate and timely on a global basis. ~crlf~Complete assigned postings, Journal Entries and Account reconciliations on a periodic basis. Reconcile and settle intercompany transactions within the affiliated company group.~crlf~Coordination, transfer and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systems.~crlf~Take care of monthly legal entity close submission activities, including posting of accruals, deferred acquisition expenses and other accounting transactions.~crlf~## Global P&L analysis and reviews~crlf~Assist internal clients (e.g. other departments) with reports, research and other activities.~crlf~Identify items or discussion or resolution.~crlf~~crlf~
##Minimum of 3- 5 years of professional experience in reinsurance, P&C insurance and / or asset management.~crlf~## Proven understanding of standard accounting (GAAP & IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance.~crlf~## Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~## Locally recognized professional qualification related to Accounting (e.g. CPA, ACCA, etc.), if applicable.~crlf~## Excellent tertiary qualification, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or qualified by experience in related discipline~crlf~## Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion.~crlf~## Understanding insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including drivers.~crlf~## Legal and Regulatory Framework: Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP, IAS / IFRS, Regulatory, Tax and other relevant requirements (such as Allianz Accounting policies) wrt reporting, compliance and declaration~crlf~## Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations.~crlf~## Problem Solving: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation.~crlf~## Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)~crlf~## Project Mgmt: Ability to manage projects (milestone and task planning, managing resources, controlling, monitoring, reporting, moderating) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures and reqmnts.~crlf~~crlf~
