Claim Processing and Administration for Inland Marine Transportation and Logistics Team including Warehouse Legal Liability, Motor Truck Cargo and Auto Physical Damage~crlf~## Proactively investigate, negotiate and resolve high exposure claims, involving complex issues and/or litigation. ~crlf~##Responsible for field adjusting and/or in-house adjusting of 1st & 3rd party claims. ~crlf~##Ensure claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines. ~crlf~##Drive third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers. ~crlf~##Training and development for other Claims Handlers. ~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
##Claim Processing and Administration for Inland Marine Transportation and Logistics Team including Warehouse Legal Liability, Motor Truck Cargo and Auto Physical Damage. ~crlf~##Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate AGCS Claims administration systems ~crlf~##Manage timely production of management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements) and proactively identify loss trends~crlf~## Investigation and Reserving of Claims: Investigate standard / complex claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures~crlf~##Determine appropriate reserving levels~crlf~##Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters, Attorneys, etc)~crlf~##Proactively discuss and review contentious, large and complex claims with fellow adjusters and management to obtain opinions/feedback~crlf~## Settlement:Settle standard/complex claims through payment or denial~crlf~##Negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement~crlf~##Ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines~crlf~##Support subrogation/salvage processes~crlf~##Referrals and Compliance:Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines~crlf~##Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate~crlf~##Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters~crlf~##Undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate~crlf~## Market Management and Coaching: Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary)~crlf~##Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives~crlf~##Attend industry functions as approved~crlf~##Act as a technical reference point and provide training/coaching to less experienced team members~crlf~## Relationship Management: Positively represent AGCS externally to the market~crlf~##Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Claims handling process, e.g. Underwriting, MMC, ARC, Operations~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters)~crlf~##Effectively report and present loss and claims information internally and externally~crlf~##Support training, developing and coaching of less experienced staff.~crlf~~crlf~
##Bachelor’s Degree~crlf~##Minimum 5-7 years of experience:~crlf~##Good understanding of LoB products and portfolio with technical specialist knowledge. Management of systems (e.g. Genius)~crlf~##Good understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape~crlf~##Minimum 3-5 years of experience:~crlf~##Established relationship building with brokers at peer group level~crlf~##Products and Coverages: Expert understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms and consitions and coverages - specifically complex Marine claims.~crlf~##Claims Handling: Expert knowledge of Marine claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery.~crlf~##Reserving: Expert knowledge of Marine reserving principles and practices~crlf~##Litigation: Robust understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques (e.g. mediation)~crlf~##Negotiation and Conflict Management: Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS and the client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of involved parties~crlf~##Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly comples data from multiple sources in detail and identify and resolve issues before they transpire~crlf~##Communication and Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
