Senior Portfolio Steering Expert (m/f/d) in Global Portfolio Management

The Portfolio Steering team is part of Global Portfolio Management and is located across London, Munich and Bucharest. ~crlf~ ~crlf~Based in Munich, you will work closely together with a diverse team developing and implementing global portfolio management approaches. This role gives you the opportunity to engage in discussions with senior management and maintain links to other AGCS departments as well as to Allianz Group functions. In addition, one aspect of the role is also to provide guidance to junior members of the team.
In this role you will…~crlf~##Manage & drive forward own area of responsibility or project~crlf~##Be responsible for the AGCS bottom up portfolio steering process (PMEX process) to identify areas of action for the AGCS insurance portfolios. This includes maintaining, further developing and implementing changes to the PMEX indicators and the PMEX reporting as well as the design and technical implementation of the PMEX database~crlf~##Develop new approaches and processes for our unit, perform strategic portfolio analyses for the global AGCS insurance portfolio and provide input to the AGCS planning process as assigned~crlf~##Peer review work from other team members and mentor/provide guidance to junior team members~crlf~##Promote close collaboration and interaction with various business areas (Group, Underwriting, Market Management, CFO, etc.) to foster mutual understanding how business developments, Underwriting strategy and other trends impact portfolio management KPIs~crlf~##Contribute with Portfolio Steering reporting to cross-functional portfolio steering discussions and exchanges for assigned products. In this regard you foster best practice sharing of portfolio management approaches across all lines of businesses (LoBs)~crlf~##Keep abreast of leading market practice and drive innovation~crlf~
##You have a degree in a quantitative field, e.g. Economics, Statistics or IT or you are qualified by experience~crlf~##You have at least 5 years of experience in an international working environment, ideally within the CFO function. During this time, you have gained a good understanding of portfolio management and actuarial approaches and concepts as well as a robust understanding of other areas (UW, CCO, CFO, etc.) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting.~crlf~##Proven experience in senior level communication and the ability to explain complex topics easily also to non-experts ~crlf~##Strong data analysis skills incl. VBA and SQL skills as well as database management skills incl. database design and technical development~crlf~##Data-driven and innovation minded with high analytical skills~crlf~##Insurance and Finance know-how as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group ~crlf~##Multi-task profile with focus on effective use of own resources and handling of competing priorities under tight deadlines ~crlf~##Fluent in English is mandatory. German skills are an advantage~crlf~
