Senior Compliance Director - Chicago, IL
The Compliance Director position assists in the planning, developing and implementation of the functional compliance policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to:~crlf~##Directing the activities involved in specific compliance functions and working directly with business owners and heads of other departments;~crlf~##Developing regulatory strategies to mitigate risk;~crlf~##Manage Corporate Compliance staff and/or provide direction in the development and implementation of policies and programs, including training and awareness activities;~crlf~##May approve exceptions to company policy for assigned areas as defined by the Chief Compliance Officer; and~crlf~##Act as a lead representative of the company to regulatory bodies and lead regulatory negotiations in situations where significant fines or regulatory actions may be contemplated.
##Review regulatory requirements and develop revisions or create policies, procedures and communications to assure awareness and compliance across the 51 jurisdictions in the US and Canada provenances. ~crlf~##Develop on-line and in-person training materials and tools for all assigned areas of compliance. ~crlf~##Coordinate Group Compliance requests representing AGCS Compliance in key Group activities.~crlf~##Provide overall compliance review and signoff on key business requests, etc. ~crlf~##Provide guidance to the business on compliance topics that have a major impact on the ability to write business, including Economic Sanctions approval, Vendor Integrity Screening, Program/Facilities review and approval, etc.~crlf~##Manage Compliance topics across all of AGCS as a "Global Topic Owner." ~crlf~##Annually review topics to determine any worldwide regulatory changes or Allianz SE changes that need to be incorporated into the AGCS Standard, Functional Rules, etc. ~crlf~##Prepare communications, training updates, and Allianz Connect materials in support of the topic. ~crlf~##Provide guidance and respond to requests from all areas of AGCS not just AGCS NA.~crlf~##Conduct holistic AGCS NA Risk Assessments as required by Global and Allianz SE. ~crlf~##Integrate findings into the overall AGCS results working with key areas of AGCS. ~crlf~##Work directly with LOB owners and Risk areas to define and address identified mitigation and reporting activities.~crlf~~crlf~
##Experience reading and interpret laws/regulations;~crlf~##Ability to review and interpret contracts;~crlf~##Ability to translate legal requirements into policy, procedural and training requirements for the general population;~crlf~##Project Management skills and the ability to coordinate efforts within a designated timeframe;~crlf~##Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority;~crlf~##Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally;~crlf~##Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail;~crlf~##Identify and resolve issues before they transpire;~crlf~##Ability to use general office application tools (e.g., Power Point, Excel, and Word; and~crlf~##Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.~crlf~~crlf~
