The role will span 2 years and your development will be supported with a L4 Insurance Professional apprenticeship. Your role will have clear responsibility and will see you working alongside a team of experts. You’ll have networking opportunities across the Allianz group and the London insurance market. ~crlf~You will need to have demonstrated your motivation and ability to operate independently through either previous work experience, volunteering or higher education and fulfil the requirements for a UK apprenticeship. Let us know in your response to the questions. ~crlf~ ~crlf~Assistant Underwriter~crlf~##Proactively prepares relevant underwriting information including client / market research and claims data~crlf~##Assists in pricing of risks, using global tools as appropriate~crlf~##Proactively establishes and maintains policy file (whether electronic or paper) for each risk and transaction handled~crlf~##Ensures accurate policy documentation issued to broker (where AGCS responsibility to do so) or broker has issued documentation (where broker responsibility)~crlf~##Proactively works with other functions (e.g. operations, credit control) to resolve outstanding accounts queries~crlf~##Proactively develops relationships with internal functional areas involved in the Underwriting process~crlf~##Assist UWR teams within the planning cycle~crlf~##Assist with projects as required~crlf~##General support tasks~crlf~ ~crlf~Sales Analyst~crlf~##Support the growth strategies of the Region London (all product lines) through analysis, research and sales support.~crlf~##Prepare and analyze key business steering reports including but not restricted to EPI reports, profitability reports and key wins and lapses.~crlf~##Co-ordinate the Sales Planning Process in the Regional Unit London.~crlf~##Contribute to new business initiatives through product and industry sector specific market research.~crlf~ ~crlf~Claims Assistant~crlf~##Process standard claims and enquiries, which may include outstanding and settlements.~crlf~##Where job-holder is sufficiently experienced; undertake adjustment of claims – investigation, negotiation and settlement. Will have authority over specified categories of claims.~crlf~##Collate and produce statistical reports for the Claims Manager, underwriting department and clients as appropriate.~crlf~##Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within the computer systems – e.g. GENIUS.~crlf~##Ensure claims are properly reserved and that claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines. Regularly review reserves.~crlf~##Discuss and review contentious claims with fellow adjusters and management to obtain opinions/comments. Develop strong working relationships with AGCS underwriters to ensure good communication over claims matters.~crlf~##Deal with queries from inside and outside the Company with regard to claims or the claims process.~crlf~ ~crlf~Off-the-Job Learning~crlf~##There is a mandatory requirement for at least 20% off-the-job training in your apprenticeship. This principle underpins a quality apprenticeship. You will have access to our virtual learning platform, scheduled learning offerings and your own mentor to support your development and meet the 20% off-the-job requirement. ~crlf~
