Complex Claims Specialist- Cyber, Tech and Media

## Proactively investigate, evaluate, and negotiate high exposure cyber (first and third party) , media and tech e&o claims. ~crlf~##Ensure claims are handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS claims standards, procedures and~crlf~guidelines.~crlf~##Manage third party service providers in order provide high quality service to the company and insureds by achieving timely and efficient results. ~crlf~##Participate in the training and development of team members and be a technical referral point for other~crlf~Claims Handlers~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong working relationships with insureds, brokers, vendors and internal partners.~crlf~##Candidate must have cyber, media, tech e&o experience. Ideal candidate would also have financial institution e&o or lawyers professional liability claims experience, but willing to consider candidate with commensurate claim handling experience and the desire and ability to be cross-trained.

## Efficient and effective management of complex claims pending; must be able to manage multiple priorities~crlf~##Input and maintain accurate claims records and documentation for assigned claims, within appropriate AGC&S claims administration systems~crlf~##Timely completion of required reports~crlf~##Proactively identify loss trends~crlf~##Timely Investigation and Reserving of Claims~crlf~## Investigate high exposure domestic and international claims that involve complex issues and/or litigation~crlf~##Timely analyze, evaluate and address coverage issues~crlf~##Negotiate and resolve high exposure, complex claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions~crlf~##Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims procedures and guidelines~crlf~##Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate~crlf~##Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts ~crlf~##Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including attending~crlf~broker / insured meetings when necessary)~crlf~##Attend industry functions~crlf~##Professionally represent AGCS externally to the market~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders~crlf~##Effectively report and present complex claims information internally and externally; effectively draft~crlf~internal and external written correspondence~crlf~Required Skills:~crlf~~crlf~

##Preferably a degree in Law, or other appropriate discipline~crlf~##Preferably completion of professional insurance qualification~crlf~##Minimum 5 to 7 years: Specialized understanding of line of business products and portfolio with technical~crlf~specialist knowledge~crlf~##Minimum 5 to 7 years: Specialized understanding of regional / local insurance markets and competitor~crlf~landscape~crlf~##Minimum 5 to 7 years: Recognized relationship building with brokers at peer group level~crlf~##Minimum 5 to 7 years: Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework~crlf~##Minimum 5 to 7 years: Experience in working in complex, global matrix organization~crlf~##Products and Coverages: Understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and~crlf~coverages~crlf~##Claims Handling: knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery~crlf~##Reserving, reinsurance and coinsurance: knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust~crlf~understanding of other insurance and risk transfer application.~crlf~##Litigation: Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation~crlf~avoidance techniques (e.g. mediation). Seasoned litigation manager, effective in timely setting and~crlf~reviewing strategy to obtain optimal timely resolutions.~crlf~##Advanced: Communication skills: Clearly and effectively express ideas and messages via speech and writing~crlf~##Advanced: Negotiation and conflict management: Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client,~crlf~often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties~crlf~##Expert: Analytical Skills: Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, analyze, and draw appropriate conclusions~crlf~~crlf~

This position can be located in NY, Atlanta or Chicago.
