Actuary as Strategy / Portfolio Performance Manager (m/f/d) in CUOC Performance Management
In this role you will focus on portfolio management at various levels of AGCS underwriting operations, from account to segment to client and portfolio level. You will work in close cooperation with the lines of business management to ensure that portfolios develop into the desired direction and that planned underwriting actions are translated into reality to ensure increased and sustainable profitability.~crlf~Further focus is put on the development of concepts that support the AGCS underwriting strategy discussions and optimal portfolio composition. This will embrace segment analysis as well as gaining insights of market trends and finding approaches to manage through the insurance market cycle.
In this role you will…~crlf~##Manage & drive forward own area of responsibility or project~crlf~##Lead implementation of P&C portfolio management approaches and processes across the different AGCS product groups / Lines of Business to identify areas of growth / action for the global AGCS insurance portfolio.~crlf~##Proactively perform performance and portfolio analyses on AGCS insurance products (geographies, sectors, etc.) in collaboration with the respective product leadership team and other functional areas.~crlf~##Support the LoBs by proactively providing advice to the product leadership team based on fact based analyses with regards to the insurance portfolios to influence / optimize AGCS global portfolio mix and profitability.~crlf~##Work with the business owners to support the implementation and translation of the UW strategy into specific underwriting actions incl. monitoring, with impact to pricing, volatility management, risk accumulation and optimal portfolio composition.~crlf~##Create regular reporting for top management and business owners to ensure transparency and alignment of all stakeholders~crlf~##Drive the use of analytics to steer portfolios within AGCS by developing Portfolio Monitoring and Steering tools and processes across multiple lines of business as well as enhance portfolio management models and analyses. Foster best practice sharing of Portfolio Management approaches across all product groups within AGCS. ~crlf~##Peer review work from other team members. Be a mentor to junior team members and help to improve the overall technical analytics capabilities of the team.~crlf~##Develop an expert knowledge of the company’s data and data systems.~crlf~##Monitor market performance regarding price and capacity trends, loss and inflation.~crlf~
##Master degree (or equivalent) in finance, science or engineering, especially in fields such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistic and / or actuarial background~crlf~##Strong analytical, numerical and adaptive problem solving skills, using logical and methodological approach~crlf~##Min 5 years of significant experience as actuary, preferably spanning multiple types and lines of business~crlf~##Min 3 years of experience of working internationally with strong ability for cross border adaption~crlf~##Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications~crlf~##Hands-on professional data analytics skills using SQL, Python is an advantage~crlf~##Comfortable in a fast paced environment, able to consistently revise approach in response to new information~crlf~##Successful track record of leadership of direct teams or complex matrix environments, strong project management experience~crlf~##Ability to express ideas and messages clearly in respect to the audience / level of management, both written and verbally. Ability to “sell” an improvised or prepared audience a winning story~crlf~##Willingness and ability to effectively work with various team members when gathering requirements, delivering solutions, and eliciting suggestions and feedback~crlf~##English: Fluent (able to negotiate)~crlf~
