Job Purpose/Role

 

We are looking for you! To support the growth of our Private Markets Platform, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst (f/m/d) with strong focus on valuation to strengthen our Investment Controlling team in Munich with immediate effect. This position combines a broad range of responsibilities and focuses on the business line direct infrastructure equity being one of the pillars of the company's growing illiquid alternative segment.

 

You will report into our Head of Private Markets Investment Controlling & Valuation – Direct Equity Strategies and will join an experienced team of experts in an international environment.

 

 

What you will do

 

  • Conducting regular company valuations according to IFRS in close cooperation with the investment and asset management teams - including presentation and discussion of valuation results with the Senior Management

  • Support in further developing ACP's valuation framework by striving for continuous improvement from a process and methodological perspective ensuring a state of the art and efficient valuation function. This includes close exchange with colleagues in the other valuation functions (renewables, private debt, indirect strategies and co-investments)

  • Ongoing monitoring of the investment performance of Allianz Group's direct infrastructure portfolio including regular analysis and preparation of P&L and liquidity planning

  • Close cooperation with accounting and risk management colleagues during investment lifecycle to challenge operational and financial development of the portfolio companies from a governance perspective

  • Onboarding of selective new investments including the set-up of reporting and planning frameworks of portfolio companies

  • Manage regular investor reporting and develop into main contact person for Senior Management on controlling and valuation matters for selective infrastructure assets and third-party strategies. Close alignment and cooperation with various stakeholders at Allianz Group.

  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth and development

 

 

What you bring

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or a comparable degree program; Additional certifications such as CFA, CVA etc. are helpful

  • Several years of work experience in the area of valuation, corporate finance or investment controlling - ideally in asset management or at a Big4 company

  • Additional experience in areas like (IFRS) accounting, risk management (Solvency II) or fund investments (Private Equity) is helpful

  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint and openness to new digital solutions. Additional skills in analytical tools such as PowerBI

  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent working style

  • A high level of motivation, excellent communication skills, strong team spirit and willingness to take on responsibility

  • Written and oral fluency in English required, working knowledge of German is a plus
