Data Product Owner (m/f/d)

As a Product Owner you will lead a member of the Scrum team, supporting change throughout the full development process from concept to delivery in the Data domain. You will evaluate all opportunities and prioritize what gets built and delivered through a clear concise backlog.

The Product Owner will support the Business Analysis/scrum team and Business Owners with solution validation, review of epics, user stories, designs and solutions. You will also support the business validation testing of the developed solution and ensure alignment with the Architecture team (global and local).

What you do

• Collaborating with stakeholders and analysts to understand the data requirements.
• Stakeholder Management for gathering information, understanding expectations and clarifying any inconsistencies or conflicting requirements to ensure alignment.
• Prioritization and backlog management across the different legal entities served.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation
• Understanding and working within internally published Allianz Data Technology Strategy
• Provider management to execute the different prioritized initiatives.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or other relevant fields
• 5+ years of IT Business Analyst or IT Product Owner experience focused on creating product backlog, eliciting requirements, determining priorities and driving the development team for execution of backlog
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the cloud services or data analytics domain.
• Agile methodology experience and knowledge in iterative incremental delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing projects and solving problems.
• Capability in understanding the technical aspects of the project.
• Strong coordination skills and willingness to take responsibilities.       
• Strong understanding of data analysis principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with data warehousing, data pipelines, and data visualization tools (PowerBI)
• Experience working with SQL and data querying languages
• Deep knowledge of Azure Synapse or related cloud data platforms.
• Data Storage: Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database.
• Data Processing: Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics and Azure Functions
• Data Analytics: Azure Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Machine Learning.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in English.
